Chapter 58Medinan22 Verses

Verse 1

قَدْqadIndeed
سَمِعَsamiʿaAllah has heard
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah has heard
قَوْلَqawla(the) speech
ٱلَّتِىallatī(of one) who
تُجَـٰدِلُكَtujādilukadisputes with you
فِىfīconcerning
زَوْجِهَاzawjihāher husband
وَتَشْتَكِىٓwatashtakīand she directs her complaint
إِلَىilāto
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allah
يَسْمَعُyasmaʿuhears
تَحَاوُرَكُمَآ ۚtaḥāwurakumā(the) dialogue of both of you
إِنَّinnaIndeed
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
سَمِيعٌۢsamīʿun(is) All-Hearer
بَصِيرٌbaṣīrunAll-Seer

Translation

Indeed Allah has heard Allah has heard (the) speech (of one) who disputes with you concerning her husband and she directs her complaint to Allah And Allah hears (the) dialogue of both of you Indeed Allah (is) All-Hearer All-Seer

Verse 2

ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose who
يُظَـٰهِرُونَyuẓāhirūnapronounce zihar
مِنكُمminkumamong you
مِّنmin[from]
نِّسَآئِهِمnisāihim(to) their wives
مَّاmānot
هُنَّhunnathey
أُمَّهَـٰتِهِمْ ۖummahātihim(are) their mothers
إِنْinNot
أُمَّهَـٰتُهُمْummahātuhum(are) their mothers
إِلَّاillāexcept
ٱلَّـٰٓـِٔىallāīthose who
وَلَدْنَهُمْ ۚwaladnahumgave them birth
وَإِنَّهُمْwa-innahumAnd indeed, they
لَيَقُولُونَlayaqūlūnasurely say
مُنكَرًۭاmunkaranan evil
مِّنَmina[of]
ٱلْقَوْلِl-qawli[the] word
وَزُورًۭا ۚwazūranand a lie
وَإِنَّwa-innaBut indeed
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
لَعَفُوٌّlaʿafuwwun(is) surely, Oft-Pardoning
غَفُورٌۭghafūrunOft-Forgiving

Translation

Those who pronounce zihar among you [from] (to) their wives not they (are) their mothers Not (are) their mothers except those who gave them birth And indeed, they surely say an evil [of] [the] word and a lie But indeed Allah (is) surely, Oft-Pardoning Oft-Forgiving

Verse 3

وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
يُظَـٰهِرُونَyuẓāhirūnapronounce zihar
مِنmin[from]
نِّسَآئِهِمْnisāihim(to) their wives
ثُمَّthummathen
يَعُودُونَyaʿūdūnago back
لِمَاlimāon what
قَالُوا۟qālūthey said
فَتَحْرِيرُfataḥrīruthen freeing
رَقَبَةٍۢraqabatin(of) a slave
مِّنminbefore
قَبْلِqablibefore
أَنan[that]
يَتَمَآسَّا ۚyatamāssāthey touch each other
ذَٰلِكُمْdhālikumThat
تُوعَظُونَtūʿaẓūnayou are admonished
بِهِۦ ۚbihito it
وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allah
بِمَاbimāof what
تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou do
خَبِيرٌۭkhabīrun(is) All-Aware

Translation

And those who pronounce zihar [from] (to) their wives then go back on what they said then freeing (of) a slave before before [that] they touch each other That you are admonished to it And Allah of what you do (is) All-Aware

Verse 4

فَمَنfamanThen whoever
لَّمْlam(does) not
يَجِدْyajidfind
فَصِيَامُfaṣiyāmuthen fasting
شَهْرَيْنِshahrayni(for) two months
مُتَتَابِعَيْنِmutatābiʿayniconsecutively
مِنminbefore
قَبْلِqablibefore
أَنan[that]
يَتَمَآسَّا ۖyatamāssāthey both touch each other
فَمَنfamanBut (he) who
لَّمْlamnot
يَسْتَطِعْyastaṭiʿis able
فَإِطْعَامُfa-iṭ'ʿāmuthen (the) feeding
سِتِّينَsittīna(of) sixty
مِسْكِينًۭا ۚmis'kīnanneedy one(s)
ذَٰلِكَdhālikaThat
لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟litu'minūso that you may believe
بِٱللَّهِbil-lahiin Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦ ۚwarasūlihiand His Messenger
وَتِلْكَwatil'kaand these
حُدُودُḥudūdu(are the) limits
ٱللَّهِ ۗl-lahi(of) Allah
وَلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَwalil'kāfirīnaand for the disbelievers
عَذَابٌʿadhābun(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٌalīmunpainful

Translation

Then whoever (does) not find then fasting (for) two months consecutively before before [that] they both touch each other But (he) who not is able then (the) feeding (of) sixty needy one(s) That so that you may believe in Allah and His Messenger and these (are the) limits (of) Allah and for the disbelievers (is) a punishment painful

Verse 5

إِنَّinnaIndeed
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
يُحَآدُّونَyuḥāddūnaoppose
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
وَرَسُولَهُۥwarasūlahuand His Messenger
كُبِتُوا۟kubitū(will) be disgraced
كَمَاkamāas
كُبِتَkubitawere disgraced
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose
مِنminbefore them
قَبْلِهِمْ ۚqablihimbefore them
وَقَدْwaqadAnd certainly
أَنزَلْنَآanzalnāWe have sent down
ءَايَـٰتٍۭāyātinVerses
بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ ۚbayyinātinclear
وَلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَwalil'kāfirīnaAnd for the disbelievers
عَذَابٌۭʿadhābun(is) a punishment
مُّهِينٌۭmuhīnunhumiliating

Translation

Indeed those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (will) be disgraced as were disgraced those before them before them And certainly We have sent down Verses clear And for the disbelievers (is) a punishment humiliating

Verse 6

يَوْمَyawma(On the) Day
يَبْعَثُهُمُyabʿathuhumu(when) Allah will raise them
ٱللَّهُl-lahu(when) Allah will raise them
جَمِيعًۭاjamīʿanall
فَيُنَبِّئُهُمfayunabbi-uhumand inform them
بِمَاbimāof what
عَمِلُوٓا۟ ۚʿamilūthey did
أَحْصَىٰهُaḥṣāhuAllah has recorded it
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah has recorded it
وَنَسُوهُ ۚwanasūhuwhile they forgot it
وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allah
عَلَىٰʿalā(is) over
كُلِّkulliall
شَىْءٍۢshayinthings
شَهِيدٌshahīduna Witness

Translation

(On the) Day (when) Allah will raise them (when) Allah will raise them all and inform them of what they did Allah has recorded it Allah has recorded it while they forgot it And Allah (is) over all things a Witness

Verse 7

أَلَمْalamDo not
تَرَtarayou see
أَنَّannathat
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
يَعْلَمُyaʿlamuknows
مَاmāwhatever
فِىfī(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavens
وَمَاwamāand whatever
فِىfī(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖl-arḍithe earth
مَاmāNot
يَكُونُyakūnuthere is
مِنminany
نَّجْوَىٰnajwāsecret counsel
ثَلَـٰثَةٍthalāthatin(of) three
إِلَّاillābut
هُوَhuwaHe (is)
رَابِعُهُمْrābiʿuhum(the) fourth of them
وَلَاwalāand not
خَمْسَةٍkhamsatinfive
إِلَّاillābut
هُوَhuwaHe (is)
سَادِسُهُمْsādisuhum(the) sixth of them
وَلَآwalāand not
أَدْنَىٰadnāless
مِنminthan
ذَٰلِكَdhālikathat
وَلَآwalāand not
أَكْثَرَaktharamore
إِلَّاillābut
هُوَhuwaHe
مَعَهُمْmaʿahum(is) with them
أَيْنَaynawherever
مَاmāwherever
كَانُوا۟ ۖkānūthey are
ثُمَّthummaThen
يُنَبِّئُهُمyunabbi-uhumHe will inform them
بِمَاbimāof what
عَمِلُوا۟ʿamilūthey did
يَوْمَyawma(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚl-qiyāmati(of) the Resurrection
إِنَّinnaIndeed
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
بِكُلِّbikulliof every
شَىْءٍshayinthing
عَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-Knower

Translation

Do not you see that Allah knows whatever (is) in the heavens and whatever (is) in the earth Not there is any secret counsel (of) three but He (is) (the) fourth of them and not five but He (is) (the) sixth of them and not less than that and not more but He (is) with them wherever wherever they are Then He will inform them of what they did (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection Indeed Allah of every thing (is) All-Knower

Verse 8

أَلَمْalamDo not
تَرَtarayou see
إِلَىilā[to]
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
نُهُوا۟nuhūwere forbidden
عَنِʿanifrom
ٱلنَّجْوَىٰl-najwāsecret counsels
ثُمَّthummathen
يَعُودُونَyaʿūdūnathey return
لِمَاlimāto what
نُهُوا۟nuhūthey were forbidden
عَنْهُʿanhufrom [it]
وَيَتَنَـٰجَوْنَwayatanājawnaand they hold secret counsels
بِٱلْإِثْمِbil-ith'mifor sin
وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِwal-ʿud'wāniand aggression
وَمَعْصِيَتِwamaʿṣiyatiand disobedience
ٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūli(to) the Messenger
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd when
جَآءُوكَjāūkathey come to you
حَيَّوْكَḥayyawkathey greet you
بِمَاbimāwith what
لَمْlamnot
يُحَيِّكَyuḥayyikagreets you
بِهِbihitherewith
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah
وَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaand they say
فِىٓfīamong
أَنفُسِهِمْanfusihimthemselves
لَوْلَاlawlāWhy (does) not
يُعَذِّبُنَاyuʿadhibunāAllah punish us
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah punish us
بِمَاbimāfor what
نَقُولُ ۚnaqūluwe say
حَسْبُهُمْḥasbuhumSufficient (for) them
جَهَنَّمُjahannamu(is) Hell
يَصْلَوْنَهَا ۖyaṣlawnahāthey will burn in it
فَبِئْسَfabi'saand worst is
ٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīruthe destination

Translation

Do not you see [to] those who were forbidden from secret counsels then they return to what they were forbidden from [it] and they hold secret counsels for sin and aggression and disobedience (to) the Messenger And when they come to you they greet you with what not greets you therewith Allah and they say among themselves Why (does) not Allah punish us Allah punish us for what we say Sufficient (for) them (is) Hell they will burn in it and worst is the destination

Verse 9

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO you who believe
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaO you who believe
ءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanūO you who believe
إِذَاidhāWhen
تَنَـٰجَيْتُمْtanājaytumyou hold secret counsel
فَلَاfalāthen (do) not
تَتَنَـٰجَوْا۟tatanājawhold secret counsel
بِٱلْإِثْمِbil-ith'mifor sin
وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِwal-ʿud'wāniand aggression
وَمَعْصِيَتِwamaʿṣiyatiand disobedience
ٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūli(to) the Messenger
وَتَنَـٰجَوْا۟watanājawbut hold secret counsel
بِٱلْبِرِّbil-birifor righteousness
وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖwal-taqwāand piety
وَٱتَّقُوا۟wa-ittaqūAnd fear
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
ٱلَّذِىٓalladhīthe One Who
إِلَيْهِilayhito Him
تُحْشَرُونَtuḥ'sharūnayou will be gathered

Translation

O you who believe O you who believe O you who believe When you hold secret counsel then (do) not hold secret counsel for sin and aggression and disobedience (to) the Messenger but hold secret counsel for righteousness and piety And fear Allah the One Who to Him you will be gathered

Verse 10

إِنَّمَاinnamāOnly
ٱلنَّجْوَىٰl-najwāthe secret counsels
مِنَmina(are) from
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِl-shayṭānithe Shaitaan
لِيَحْزُنَliyaḥzunathat he may grieve
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
ءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieve
وَلَيْسَwalaysabut not
بِضَآرِّهِمْbiḍārrihimhe (can) harm them
شَيْـًٔاshayan(in) anything
إِلَّاillāexcept
بِإِذْنِbi-idh'niby Allah's permission
ٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahiby Allah's permission
وَعَلَىwaʿalāAnd upon
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِfalyatawakkalilet put (their) trust
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūnathe believers

Translation

Only the secret counsels (are) from the Shaitaan that he may grieve those who believe but not he (can) harm them (in) anything except by Allah's permission by Allah's permission And upon Allah let put (their) trust the believers

Verse 11

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO you who believe
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaO you who believe
ءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanūO you who believe
إِذَاidhāWhen
قِيلَqīlait is said
لَكُمْlakumto you
تَفَسَّحُوا۟tafassaḥūMake room
فِىfīin
ٱلْمَجَـٰلِسِl-majālisithe assemblies
فَٱفْسَحُوا۟fa-if'saḥūthen make room
يَفْسَحِyafsaḥiAllah will make room
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah will make room
لَكُمْ ۖlakumfor you
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd when
قِيلَqīlait is said
ٱنشُزُوا۟unshuzūRise up
فَٱنشُزُوا۟fa-unshuzūthen rise up
يَرْفَعِyarfaʿiAllah will raise
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah will raise
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
ءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieve
مِنكُمْminkumamong you
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand those who
أُوتُوا۟ūtūwere given
ٱلْعِلْمَl-ʿil'mathe knowledge
دَرَجَـٰتٍۢ ۚdarajātin(in) degrees
وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allah
بِمَاbimāof what
تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou do
خَبِيرٌۭkhabīrun(is) All-Aware

Translation

O you who believe O you who believe O you who believe When it is said to you Make room in the assemblies then make room Allah will make room Allah will make room for you And when it is said Rise up then rise up Allah will raise Allah will raise those who believe among you and those who were given the knowledge (in) degrees And Allah of what you do (is) All-Aware

Verse 12

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO you who believe
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaO you who believe
ءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanūO you who believe
إِذَاidhāWhen
نَـٰجَيْتُمُnājaytumuyou privately consult
ٱلرَّسُولَl-rasūlathe Messenger
فَقَدِّمُوا۟faqaddimūthen offer
بَيْنَbaynabefore
يَدَىْyadaybefore
نَجْوَىٰكُمْnajwākumyour private consultation
صَدَقَةًۭ ۚṣadaqatancharity
ذَٰلِكَdhālikaThat
خَيْرٌۭkhayrun(is) better
لَّكُمْlakumfor you
وَأَطْهَرُ ۚwa-aṭharuand purer
فَإِنfa-inBut if
لَّمْlamnot
تَجِدُوا۟tajidūyou find
فَإِنَّfa-innathen indeed
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
غَفُورٌۭghafūrun(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌraḥīmunMost Merciful

Translation

O you who believe O you who believe O you who believe When you privately consult the Messenger then offer before before your private consultation charity That (is) better for you and purer But if not you find then indeed Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful

Verse 13

ءَأَشْفَقْتُمْa-ashfaqtumAre you afraid
أَنanto
تُقَدِّمُوا۟tuqaddimūoffer
بَيْنَbaynabefore
يَدَىْyadaybefore
نَجْوَىٰكُمْnajwākumyour private consultation
صَدَقَـٰتٍۢ ۚṣadaqātincharities
فَإِذْfa-idhThen when
لَمْlamyou do not
تَفْعَلُوا۟tafʿalūyou do not
وَتَابَwatābaand Allah has forgiven
ٱللَّهُl-lahuand Allah has forgiven
عَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumyou
فَأَقِيمُوا۟fa-aqīmūthen establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَl-ṣalatathe prayer
وَءَاتُوا۟waātūand give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَl-zakatathe zakah
وَأَطِيعُوا۟wa-aṭīʿūand obey
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
وَرَسُولَهُۥ ۚwarasūlahuand His Messenger
وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allah
خَبِيرٌۢkhabīrun(is) All-Aware
بِمَاbimāof what
تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou do

Translation

Are you afraid to offer before before your private consultation charities Then when you do not you do not and Allah has forgiven and Allah has forgiven you then establish the prayer and give the zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger And Allah (is) All-Aware of what you do

Verse 14

۞ أَلَمْalamDo not
تَرَtarayou see
إِلَىilā[to]
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
تَوَلَّوْا۟tawallawtake as allies
قَوْمًاqawmana people
غَضِبَghaḍibawrath
ٱللَّهُl-lahu(of) Allah
عَلَيْهِمʿalayhim(is) upon them
مَّاmāThey (are) not
هُمhumThey (are) not
مِّنكُمْminkumof you
وَلَاwalāand not
مِنْهُمْmin'humof them
وَيَحْلِفُونَwayaḥlifūnaand they swear
عَلَىʿalāto
ٱلْكَذِبِl-kadhibithe lie
وَهُمْwahumwhile they
يَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow

Translation

Do not you see [to] those who take as allies a people wrath (of) Allah (is) upon them They (are) not They (are) not of you and not of them and they swear to the lie while they know

Verse 15

أَعَدَّaʿaddaAllah has prepared
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah has prepared
لَهُمْlahumfor them
عَذَابًۭاʿadhābana punishment
شَدِيدًا ۖshadīdansevere
إِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed, [they]
سَآءَsāaevil is
مَاmāwhat
كَانُوا۟kānūthey used to
يَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūnado

Translation

Allah has prepared Allah has prepared for them a punishment severe Indeed, [they] evil is what they used to do

Verse 16

ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ittakhadhūThey have taken
أَيْمَـٰنَهُمْaymānahumtheir oaths
جُنَّةًۭjunnatan(as) a cover
فَصَدُّوا۟faṣaddūso they hinder
عَنʿanfrom
سَبِيلِsabīli(the) way of Allah
ٱللَّهِl-lahi(the) way of Allah
فَلَهُمْfalahumso for them
عَذَابٌۭʿadhābun(is) a punishment
مُّهِينٌۭmuhīnunhumiliating

Translation

They have taken their oaths (as) a cover so they hinder from (the) way of Allah (the) way of Allah so for them (is) a punishment humiliating

Verse 17

لَّنlanNever
تُغْنِىَtugh'niyawill avail
عَنْهُمْʿanhumthem
أَمْوَٰلُهُمْamwāluhumtheir wealth
وَلَآwalāand not
أَوْلَـٰدُهُمawlāduhumtheir children
مِّنَminaagainst
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
شَيْـًٔا ۚshayan(in) anything
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThose
أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(will be) companions
ٱلنَّارِ ۖl-nāri(of) the Fire
هُمْhumthey
فِيهَاfīhāin it
خَـٰلِدُونَkhālidūnawill abide forever

Translation

Never will avail them their wealth and not their children against Allah (in) anything Those (will be) companions (of) the Fire they in it will abide forever

Verse 18

يَوْمَyawma(On the) Day
يَبْعَثُهُمُyabʿathuhumuAllah will raise them
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah will raise them
جَمِيعًۭاjamīʿanall
فَيَحْلِفُونَfayaḥlifūnathen they will swear
لَهُۥlahuto Him
كَمَاkamāas
يَحْلِفُونَyaḥlifūnathey swear
لَكُمْ ۖlakumto you
وَيَحْسَبُونَwayaḥsabūnaAnd they think
أَنَّهُمْannahumthat they
عَلَىٰʿalā(are) on
شَىْءٍ ۚshayinsomething
أَلَآalāNo doubt
إِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed, they
هُمُhumu[they]
ٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَl-kādhibūna(are) the liars

Translation

(On the) Day Allah will raise them Allah will raise them all then they will swear to Him as they swear to you And they think that they (are) on something No doubt Indeed, they [they] (are) the liars

Verse 19

ٱسْتَحْوَذَis'taḥwadhaHas overcome
عَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimuthem
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānuthe Shaitaan
فَأَنسَىٰهُمْfa-ansāhumso he made them forget
ذِكْرَdhik'ra(the) remembrance
ٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi(of) Allah
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThose
حِزْبُḥiz'bu(are the) party
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۚl-shayṭāni(of) the Shaitaan
أَلَآalāNo doubt
إِنَّinnaIndeed
حِزْبَḥiz'ba(the) party
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِl-shayṭāni(of) the Shaitaan
هُمُhumuthey
ٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَl-khāsirūna(will be) the losers

Translation

Has overcome them the Shaitaan so he made them forget (the) remembrance (of) Allah Those (are the) party (of) the Shaitaan No doubt Indeed (the) party (of) the Shaitaan they (will be) the losers

Verse 20

إِنَّinnaIndeed
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
يُحَآدُّونَyuḥāddūnaoppose
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
وَرَسُولَهُۥٓwarasūlahuand His Messenger
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikathose
فِىfī(will be) among
ٱلْأَذَلِّينَl-adhalīnathe most humiliated

Translation

Indeed those who oppose Allah and His Messenger those (will be) among the most humiliated

Verse 21

كَتَبَkatabaAllah has decreed
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah has decreed
لَأَغْلِبَنَّla-aghlibannaSurely, I will overcome
أَنَا۠anāI
وَرُسُلِىٓ ۚwarusulīand My Messengers
إِنَّinnaIndeed
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
قَوِىٌّqawiyyun(is) All-Strong
عَزِيزٌۭʿazīzunAll-Mighty

Translation

Allah has decreed Allah has decreed Surely, I will overcome I and My Messengers Indeed Allah (is) All-Strong All-Mighty

Verse 22

لَّاlāYou will not find
تَجِدُtajiduYou will not find
قَوْمًۭاqawmana people
يُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnawho believe
بِٱللَّهِbil-lahiin Allah
وَٱلْيَوْمِwal-yawmiand the Day
ٱلْـَٔاخِرِl-ākhirithe Last
يُوَآدُّونَyuwāddūnaloving
مَنْman(those) who
حَآدَّḥāddaoppose
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
وَرَسُولَهُۥwarasūlahuand His Messenger
وَلَوْwalaweven if
كَانُوٓا۟kānūthey were
ءَابَآءَهُمْābāahumtheir fathers
أَوْawor
أَبْنَآءَهُمْabnāahumtheir sons
أَوْawor
إِخْوَٰنَهُمْikh'wānahumtheir brothers
أَوْawor
عَشِيرَتَهُمْ ۚʿashīratahumtheir kindred
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThose
كَتَبَkatabaHe has decreed
فِىfīwithin
قُلُوبِهِمُqulūbihimutheir hearts
ٱلْإِيمَـٰنَl-īmānafaith
وَأَيَّدَهُمwa-ayyadahumand supported them
بِرُوحٍۢbirūḥinwith a spirit
مِّنْهُ ۖmin'hufrom Him
وَيُدْخِلُهُمْwayud'khiluhumAnd He will admit them
جَنَّـٰتٍۢjannātin(to) Gardens
تَجْرِىtajrīflow
مِنminfrom
تَحْتِهَاtaḥtihāunderneath it
ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُl-anhāruthe rivers
خَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīnawill abide forever
فِيهَا ۚfīhāin it
رَضِىَraḍiyaAllah is pleased
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah is pleased
عَنْهُمْʿanhumwith them
وَرَضُوا۟waraḍūand they are pleased
عَنْهُ ۚʿanhuwith Him
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThose
حِزْبُḥiz'bu(are the) party
ٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi(of) Allah
أَلَآalāNo doubt
إِنَّinnaIndeed
حِزْبَḥiz'ba(the) party
ٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allah
هُمُhumuthey
ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَl-muf'liḥūna(are) the successful ones

Translation

You will not find You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Day the Last loving (those) who oppose Allah and His Messenger even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred Those He has decreed within their hearts faith and supported them with a spirit from Him And He will admit them (to) Gardens flow from underneath it the rivers will abide forever in it Allah is pleased Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him Those (are the) party (of) Allah No doubt Indeed (the) party (of) Allah they (are) the successful ones
