The Exile

Chapter 59Medinan24 Verses

Verse 1

سَبَّحَsabbaḥaGlorifies
لِلَّهِlillahi[to] Allah
مَاwhatever
فِى(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavens
وَمَاwamāand whatever
فِى(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖl-arḍithe earth
وَهُوَwahuwaAnd He
ٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʿazīzu(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmuthe All-Wise

Translation

Glorifies [to] Allah whatever (is) in the heavens and whatever (is) in the earth And He (is) the All-Mighty the All-Wise

Verse 2

هُوَhuwaHe
ٱلَّذِىٓalladhī(is) the One Who
أَخْرَجَakhrajaexpelled
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
كَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelieved
مِنْminfrom
أَهْلِahli(the) People
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi(of) the Scripture
مِنminfrom
دِيَـٰرِهِمْdiyārihimtheir homes
لِأَوَّلِli-awwaliat (the) first
ٱلْحَشْرِ ۚl-ḥashrigathering
مَاNot
ظَنَنتُمْẓanantumyou think
أَنanthat
يَخْرُجُوا۟ ۖyakhrujūthey would leave
وَظَنُّوٓا۟waẓannūand they thought
أَنَّهُمannahumthat [they]
مَّانِعَتُهُمْmāniʿatuhumwould defend them
حُصُونُهُمḥuṣūnuhumtheir fortresses
مِّنَminaagainst
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
فَأَتَىٰهُمُfa-atāhumuBut came to them
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah
مِنْminfrom
حَيْثُḥaythuwhere
لَمْlamnot
يَحْتَسِبُوا۟ ۖyaḥtasibūthey expected
وَقَذَفَwaqadhafaand He cast
فِىinto
قُلُوبِهِمُqulūbihimutheir hearts
ٱلرُّعْبَ ۚl-ruʿ'ba[the] terror
يُخْرِبُونَyukh'ribūnathey destroyed
بُيُوتَهُمbuyūtahumtheir houses
بِأَيْدِيهِمْbi-aydīhimwith their hands
وَأَيْدِىwa-aydīand the hands
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīna(of) the believers
فَٱعْتَبِرُوا۟fa-iʿ'tabirūSo take a lesson
يَـٰٓأُو۟لِىyāulīO those endowed
ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِl-abṣāri(with) insight

Translation

He (is) the One Who expelled those who disbelieved from (the) People (of) the Scripture from their homes at (the) first gathering Not you think that they would leave and they thought that [they] would defend them their fortresses against Allah But came to them Allah from where not they expected and He cast into their hearts [the] terror they destroyed their houses with their hands and the hands (of) the believers So take a lesson O those endowed (with) insight

Verse 3

وَلَوْلَآwalawlāAnd if not
أَنan[that]
كَتَبَkataba(had) decreed
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah
عَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimufor them
ٱلْجَلَآءَl-jalāathe exile
لَعَذَّبَهُمْlaʿadhabahumcertainly He (would) have punished them
فِىin
ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖl-dun'yāthe world
وَلَهُمْwalahumand for them
فِىin
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِl-ākhiratithe Hereafter
عَذَابُʿadhābu(is) a punishment
ٱلنَّارِl-nāri(of) the Fire

Translation

And if not [that] (had) decreed Allah for them the exile certainly He (would) have punished them in the world and for them in the Hereafter (is) a punishment (of) the Fire

Verse 4

ذَٰلِكَdhālikaThat
بِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahum(is) because [they]
شَآقُّوا۟shāqqūthey opposed
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
وَرَسُولَهُۥ ۖwarasūlahuand His Messenger
وَمَنwamanAnd whoever
يُشَآقِّyushāqqiopposes
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
فَإِنَّfa-innathen indeed
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
شَدِيدُshadīdu(is) severe
ٱلْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi(in) penalty

Translation

That (is) because [they] they opposed Allah and His Messenger And whoever opposes Allah then indeed Allah (is) severe (in) penalty

Verse 5

مَاWhatever
قَطَعْتُمqaṭaʿtumyou cut down
مِّنminof
لِّينَةٍlīnatin(the) palm-trees
أَوْawor
تَرَكْتُمُوهَاtaraktumūhāyou left them
قَآئِمَةًqāimatanstanding
عَلَىٰٓʿalāon
أُصُولِهَاuṣūlihātheir roots
فَبِإِذْنِfabi-idh'niit (was) by the permission
ٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allah
وَلِيُخْزِىَwaliyukh'ziyaand that He may disgrace
ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَl-fāsiqīnathe defiantly disobedient

Translation

Whatever you cut down of (the) palm-trees or you left them standing on their roots it (was) by the permission (of) Allah and that He may disgrace the defiantly disobedient

Verse 6

وَمَآwamāAnd what
أَفَآءَafāa(was) restored
ٱللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allah
عَلَىٰʿalāto
رَسُولِهِۦrasūlihiHis Messenger
مِنْهُمْmin'humfrom them
فَمَآfamāthen not
أَوْجَفْتُمْawjaftumyou made expedition
عَلَيْهِʿalayhifor it
مِنْminof
خَيْلٍۢkhaylinhorses
وَلَاwalāand not
رِكَابٍۢrikābincamels
وَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinnabut
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
يُسَلِّطُyusalliṭugives power
رُسُلَهُۥrusulahu(to) His Messengers
عَلَىٰʿalāover
مَنmanwhom
يَشَآءُ ۚyashāuHe wills
وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allah
عَلَىٰʿalā(is) on
كُلِّkullievery
شَىْءٍۢshayinthing
قَدِيرٌۭqadīrunAll-Powerful

Translation

And what (was) restored (by) Allah to His Messenger from them then not you made expedition for it of horses and not camels but Allah gives power (to) His Messengers over whom He wills And Allah (is) on every thing All-Powerful

Verse 7

مَّآWhat
أَفَآءَafāa(was) restored
ٱللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allah
عَلَىٰʿalāto
رَسُولِهِۦrasūlihiHis Messenger
مِنْminfrom
أَهْلِahli(the) people
ٱلْقُرَىٰl-qurā(of) the towns
فَلِلَّهِfalillahi(it is) for Allah
وَلِلرَّسُولِwalilrrasūliand His Messenger
وَلِذِىwalidhīand for those
ٱلْقُرْبَىٰl-qur'bā(of) the kindred
وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰwal-yatāmāand the orphans
وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِwal-masākīniand the needy
وَٱبْنِwa-ib'niand
ٱلسَّبِيلِl-sabīlithe wayfarer
كَىْkaythat
لَاnot
يَكُونَyakūnait becomes
دُولَةًۢdūlatana (perpetual) circulation
بَيْنَbaynabetween
ٱلْأَغْنِيَآءِl-aghniyāithe rich
مِنكُمْ ۚminkumamong you
وَمَآwamāAnd whatever
ءَاتَىٰكُمُātākumugives you
ٱلرَّسُولُl-rasūluthe Messenger
فَخُذُوهُfakhudhūhutake it
وَمَاwamāand whatever
نَهَىٰكُمْnahākumhe forbids you
عَنْهُʿanhufrom it
فَٱنتَهُوا۟ ۚfa-intahūrefrain
وَٱتَّقُوا۟wa-ittaqūAnd fear
ٱللَّهَ ۖl-lahaAllah
إِنَّinnaIndeed
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
شَدِيدُshadīdu(is) severe
ٱلْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi(in) penalty

Translation

What (was) restored (by) Allah to His Messenger from (the) people (of) the towns (it is) for Allah and His Messenger and for those (of) the kindred and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer that not it becomes a (perpetual) circulation between the rich among you And whatever gives you the Messenger take it and whatever he forbids you from it refrain And fear Allah Indeed Allah (is) severe (in) penalty

Verse 8

لِلْفُقَرَآءِlil'fuqarāiFor the poor
ٱلْمُهَـٰجِرِينَl-muhājirīnaemigrants
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
أُخْرِجُوا۟ukh'rijūwere expelled
مِنminfrom
دِيَـٰرِهِمْdiyārihimtheir homes
وَأَمْوَٰلِهِمْwa-amwālihimand their properties
يَبْتَغُونَyabtaghūnaseeking
فَضْلًۭاfaḍlanbounty
مِّنَminafrom
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
وَرِضْوَٰنًۭاwariḍ'wānanand pleasure
وَيَنصُرُونَwayanṣurūnaand helping
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ ۚwarasūlahuand His Messenger
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThose
هُمُhumuthey
ٱلصَّـٰدِقُونَl-ṣādiqūna(are) the truthful

Translation

For the poor emigrants those who were expelled from their homes and their properties seeking bounty from Allah and pleasure and helping Allah and His Messenger Those they (are) the truthful

Verse 9

وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
تَبَوَّءُوtabawwaūsettled
ٱلدَّارَl-dāra(in) the home
وَٱلْإِيمَـٰنَwal-īmānaand (accepted) faith
مِنminfrom
قَبْلِهِمْqablihimbefore them
يُحِبُّونَyuḥibbūnalove
مَنْman(those) who
هَاجَرَhājaraemigrated
إِلَيْهِمْilayhimto them
وَلَاwalāand not
يَجِدُونَyajidūnathey find
فِىin
صُدُورِهِمْṣudūrihimtheir breasts
حَاجَةًۭḥājatanany want
مِّمَّآmimmāof what
أُوتُوا۟ūtūthey were given
وَيُؤْثِرُونَwayu'thirūnabut prefer
عَلَىٰٓʿalāover
أَنفُسِهِمْanfusihimthemselves
وَلَوْwalaweven though
كَانَkānawas
بِهِمْbihimwith them
خَصَاصَةٌۭ ۚkhaṣāṣatunpoverty
وَمَنwamanAnd whoever
يُوقَyūqais saved
شُحَّshuḥḥa(from) stinginess
نَفْسِهِۦnafsihi(of) his soul
فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَfa-ulāikathen those
هُمُhumu[they]
ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَl-muf'liḥūna(are) the successful ones

Translation

And those who settled (in) the home and (accepted) faith from before them love (those) who emigrated to them and not they find in their breasts any want of what they were given but prefer over themselves even though was with them poverty And whoever is saved (from) stinginess (of) his soul then those [they] (are) the successful ones

Verse 10

وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
جَآءُوjāūcame
مِنۢminfrom
بَعْدِهِمْbaʿdihimafter them
يَقُولُونَyaqūlūnathey say
رَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lord
ٱغْفِرْigh'firforgive
لَنَاlanāus
وَلِإِخْوَٰنِنَاwali-ikh'wānināand our brothers
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnawho
سَبَقُونَاsabaqūnāpreceded us
بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِbil-īmāniin faith
وَلَاwalāand (do) not
تَجْعَلْtajʿalput
فِىin
قُلُوبِنَاqulūbināour hearts
غِلًّۭاghillanany rancor
لِّلَّذِينَlilladhīnatowards those who
ءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieved
رَبَّنَآrabbanāOur Lord
إِنَّكَinnakaindeed You
رَءُوفٌۭraūfun(are) Full of Kindness
رَّحِيمٌraḥīmunMost Merciful

Translation

And those who came from after them they say Our Lord forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and (do) not put in our hearts any rancor towards those who believed Our Lord indeed You (are) Full of Kindness Most Merciful

Verse 11

۞ أَلَمْalamDo not
تَرَtarayou see
إِلَىilā[to]
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
نَافَقُوا۟nāfaqū(were) hypocrites
يَقُولُونَyaqūlūnasaying
لِإِخْوَٰنِهِمُli-ikh'wānihimuto their brothers
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
كَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelieved
مِنْminamong
أَهْلِahlithe People
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi(of) the Scripture
لَئِنْla-inIf
أُخْرِجْتُمْukh'rij'tumyou are expelled
لَنَخْرُجَنَّlanakhrujannasurely we will leave
مَعَكُمْmaʿakumwith you
وَلَاwalāand not
نُطِيعُnuṭīʿuwe will obey
فِيكُمْfīkumconcerning you
أَحَدًاaḥadananyone
أَبَدًۭاabadanever
وَإِنwa-inand if
قُوتِلْتُمْqūtil'tumyou are fought
لَنَنصُرَنَّكُمْlananṣurannakumcertainly we will help you
وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allah
يَشْهَدُyashhadubears witness
إِنَّهُمْinnahumthat they
لَكَـٰذِبُونَlakādhibūna(are) surely liars

Translation

Do not you see [to] those who (were) hypocrites saying to their brothers those who disbelieved among the People (of) the Scripture If you are expelled surely we will leave with you and not we will obey concerning you anyone ever and if you are fought certainly we will help you And Allah bears witness that they (are) surely liars

Verse 12

لَئِنْla-inIf
أُخْرِجُوا۟ukh'rijūthey are expelled
لَاnot
يَخْرُجُونَyakhrujūnathey will leave
مَعَهُمْmaʿahumwith them
وَلَئِنwala-inand if
قُوتِلُوا۟qūtilūthey are fought
لَاnot
يَنصُرُونَهُمْyanṣurūnahumthey will help them
وَلَئِنwala-inAnd if
نَّصَرُوهُمْnaṣarūhumthey help them
لَيُوَلُّنَّlayuwallunnacertainly they will turn
ٱلْأَدْبَـٰرَl-adbāra(their) backs
ثُمَّthummathen
لَاnot
يُنصَرُونَyunṣarūnathey will be helped

Translation

If they are expelled not they will leave with them and if they are fought not they will help them And if they help them certainly they will turn (their) backs then not they will be helped

Verse 13

لَأَنتُمْla-antumCertainly you
أَشَدُّashaddu(are) more intense
رَهْبَةًۭrahbatan(in) fear
فِىin
صُدُورِهِمṣudūrihimtheir breasts
مِّنَminathan
ٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahiAllah
ذَٰلِكَdhālikaThat
بِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahum(is) because they
قَوْمٌۭqawmun(are) a people
لَّا(who do) not
يَفْقَهُونَyafqahūnaunderstand

Translation

Certainly you (are) more intense (in) fear in their breasts than Allah That (is) because they (are) a people (who do) not understand

Verse 14

لَاNot
يُقَـٰتِلُونَكُمْyuqātilūnakumwill they fight you
جَمِيعًاjamīʿanall
إِلَّاillāexcept
فِىin
قُرًۭىqurantowns
مُّحَصَّنَةٍmuḥaṣṣanatinfortified
أَوْawor
مِنminfrom
وَرَآءِwarāibehind
جُدُرٍۭ ۚjudurinwalls
بَأْسُهُمbasuhumTheir violence
بَيْنَهُمْbaynahumamong themselves
شَدِيدٌۭ ۚshadīdun(is) severe
تَحْسَبُهُمْtaḥsabuhumYou think they
جَمِيعًۭاjamīʿan(are) united
وَقُلُوبُهُمْwaqulūbuhumbut their hearts
شَتَّىٰ ۚshattā(are) divided
ذَٰلِكَdhālikaThat
بِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahum(is) because they
قَوْمٌۭqawmun(are) a people
لَّاnot
يَعْقِلُونَyaʿqilūnathey reason

Translation

Not will they fight you all except in towns fortified or from behind walls Their violence among themselves (is) severe You think they (are) united but their hearts (are) divided That (is) because they (are) a people not they reason

Verse 15

كَمَثَلِkamathaliLike (the) example
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those
مِنminfrom
قَبْلِهِمْqablihimbefore them
قَرِيبًۭا ۖqarībanshortly
ذَاقُوا۟dhāqūthey tasted
وَبَالَwabāla(the) evil result
أَمْرِهِمْamrihim(of) their affair
وَلَهُمْwalahumand for them
عَذَابٌʿadhābun(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٌۭalīmunpainful

Translation

Like (the) example (of) those from before them shortly they tasted (the) evil result (of) their affair and for them (is) a punishment painful

Verse 16

كَمَثَلِkamathaliLike (the) example
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِl-shayṭāni(of) the Shaitaan
إِذْidhwhen
قَالَqālahe says
لِلْإِنسَـٰنِlil'insānito man
ٱكْفُرْuk'furDisbelieve
فَلَمَّاfalammāBut when
كَفَرَkafarahe disbelieves
قَالَqālahe says
إِنِّىinnīIndeed, I am
بَرِىٓءٌۭbarīondisassociated
مِّنكَminkafrom you
إِنِّىٓinnīIndeed, [I]
أَخَافُakhāfuI fear
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
رَبَّrabba(the) Lord
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَl-ʿālamīna(of) the worlds

Translation

Like (the) example (of) the Shaitaan when he says to man Disbelieve But when he disbelieves he says Indeed, I am disassociated from you Indeed, [I] I fear Allah (the) Lord (of) the worlds

Verse 17

فَكَانَfakānaSo will be
عَـٰقِبَتَهُمَآʿāqibatahumā(the) end of both of them
أَنَّهُمَاannahumāthat they
فِى(will be) in
ٱلنَّارِl-nārithe Fire
خَـٰلِدَيْنِkhālidayniabiding forever
فِيهَا ۚfīhātherein
وَذَٰلِكَwadhālikaAnd that
جَزَٰٓؤُا۟jazāu(is the) recompense
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَl-ẓālimīna(of) the wrongdoers

Translation

So will be (the) end of both of them that they (will be) in the Fire abiding forever therein And that (is the) recompense (of) the wrongdoers

Verse 18

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnayou (who)
ءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieve
ٱتَّقُوا۟ittaqūFear
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
وَلْتَنظُرْwaltanẓurand let look
نَفْسٌۭnafsunevery soul
مَّاwhat
قَدَّمَتْqaddamatit has sent forth
لِغَدٍۢ ۖlighadinfor tomorrow
وَٱتَّقُوا۟wa-ittaqūand fear
ٱللَّهَ ۚl-lahaAllah
إِنَّinnaIndeed
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
خَبِيرٌۢkhabīrun(is) All-Aware
بِمَاbimāof what
تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou do

Translation

O you (who) believe Fear Allah and let look every soul what it has sent forth for tomorrow and fear Allah Indeed Allah (is) All-Aware of what you do

Verse 19

وَلَاwalāAnd (do) not
تَكُونُوا۟takūnūbe
كَٱلَّذِينَka-alladhīnalike those who
نَسُوا۟nasūforgot
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
فَأَنسَىٰهُمْfa-ansāhumso He made them forget
أَنفُسَهُمْ ۚanfusahumthemselves
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThose
هُمُhumu[they]
ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَl-fāsiqūna(are) the defiantly disobedient

Translation

And (do) not be like those who forgot Allah so He made them forget themselves Those [they] (are) the defiantly disobedient

Verse 20

لَاNot
يَسْتَوِىٓyastawīequal
أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(are the) companions
ٱلنَّارِl-nāri(of) the Fire
وَأَصْحَـٰبُwa-aṣḥābuand (the) companions
ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۚl-janati(of) Paradise
أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(The) companions
ٱلْجَنَّةِl-janati(of) Paradise
هُمُhumuthey
ٱلْفَآئِزُونَl-fāizūna(are) the achievers

Translation

Not equal (are the) companions (of) the Fire and (the) companions (of) Paradise (The) companions (of) Paradise they (are) the achievers

Verse 21

لَوْlawIf
أَنزَلْنَاanzalnāWe (had) sent down
هَـٰذَاhādhāthis
ٱلْقُرْءَانَl-qur'ānaQuran
عَلَىٰʿalāon
جَبَلٍۢjabalina mountain
لَّرَأَيْتَهُۥlara-aytahusurely you (would) have seen it
خَـٰشِعًۭاkhāshiʿanhumbled
مُّتَصَدِّعًۭاmutaṣaddiʿanbreaking asunder
مِّنْminfrom
خَشْيَةِkhashyati(the) fear
ٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi(of) Allah
وَتِلْكَwatil'kaAnd these
ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلُl-amthāluexamples
نَضْرِبُهَاnaḍribuhāWe present them
لِلنَّاسِlilnnāsito the people
لَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahumso that they may
يَتَفَكَّرُونَyatafakkarūnagive thought

Translation

If We (had) sent down this Quran on a mountain surely you (would) have seen it humbled breaking asunder from (the) fear (of) Allah And these examples We present them to the people so that they may give thought

Verse 22

هُوَhuwaHe
ٱللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allah
ٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One Who
لَآ(there is) no
إِلَـٰهَilāhagod
إِلَّاillābut
هُوَ ۖhuwaHe
عَـٰلِمُʿālimu(the) All-Knower
ٱلْغَيْبِl-ghaybi(of) the unseen
وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ ۖwal-shahādatiand the witnessed
هُوَhuwaHe
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu(is) the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمُl-raḥīmuthe Most Merciful

Translation

He (is) Allah the One Who (there is) no god but He (the) All-Knower (of) the unseen and the witnessed He (is) the Most Gracious the Most Merciful

Verse 23

هُوَhuwaHe
ٱللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allah
ٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One Who
لَآ(there is) no
إِلَـٰهَilāhagod
إِلَّاillābut
هُوَhuwaHe
ٱلْمَلِكُl-malikuthe Sovereign
ٱلْقُدُّوسُl-qudūsuthe Holy One
ٱلسَّلَـٰمُl-salāmuthe Giver of Peace
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُl-mu'minuthe Giver of Security
ٱلْمُهَيْمِنُl-muhayminuthe Guardian
ٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʿazīzuthe All-Mighty
ٱلْجَبَّارُl-jabāruthe Irresistible
ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرُ ۚl-mutakabiruthe Supreme
سُبْحَـٰنَsub'ḥānaGlory (be to)
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
عَمَّاʿammāfrom what
يُشْرِكُونَyush'rikūnathey associate (with Him)

Translation

He (is) Allah the One Who (there is) no god but He the Sovereign the Holy One the Giver of Peace the Giver of Security the Guardian the All-Mighty the Irresistible the Supreme Glory (be to) Allah from what they associate (with Him)

Verse 24

هُوَhuwaHe
ٱللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allah
ٱلْخَـٰلِقُl-khāliquthe Creator
ٱلْبَارِئُl-bāri-uthe Inventor
ٱلْمُصَوِّرُ ۖl-muṣawiruthe Fashioner
لَهُlahuFor Him
ٱلْأَسْمَآءُl-asmāu(are) the names
ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚl-ḥus'nāthe beautiful
يُسَبِّحُyusabbiḥuGlorifies
لَهُۥlahuHim
مَاwhatever
فِى(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖwal-arḍiand the earth
وَهُوَwahuwaAnd He
ٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʿazīzu(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmuthe All-Wise

Translation

He (is) Allah the Creator the Inventor the Fashioner For Him (are) the names the beautiful Glorifies Him whatever (is) in the heavens and the earth And He (is) the All-Mighty the All-Wise
