Al-Qiyamah
The Resurrection
Verse 1
Translation
Nay I swear by (the) Day (of) the Resurrection
Verse 2
Translation
And nay I swear by the soul self-accusing
Verse 3
Translation
Does think [the] man that not We will assemble his bones
Verse 4
Translation
Nay (We are) Able on that We can restore his fingertips
Verse 5
Translation
Nay Desires [the] man to give (the) lie (to) what is before him
Verse 6
Translation
He asks When (is the) Day (of) the Resurrection
Verse 7
Translation
So when is dazzled the vision
Verse 8
Translation
And becomes dark the moon
Verse 9
Translation
And are joined the sun and the moon
Verse 10
Translation
Will say [the] man that Day Where (is) the escape
Verse 11
Translation
By no means (There is) no refuge
Verse 12
Translation
To your Lord that Day (is) the place of rest
Verse 13
Translation
Will be informed [the] man that Day of what he sent forth and kept back
Verse 14
Translation
Nay [The] man against himself (will be) a witness
Verse 15
Translation
Even if he presents his excuses
Verse 16
Translation
Not move with it your tongue to hasten with it
Verse 17
Translation
Indeed upon Us (is) its collection and its recitation
Verse 18
Translation
And when We have recited it then follow its recitation
Verse 19
Translation
Then indeed upon Us (is) its explanation
Verse 20
Translation
No But you love the immediate
Verse 21
Translation
And leave the Hereafter
Verse 22
Translation
Faces that Day (will be) radiant
Verse 23
Translation
Towards their Lord looking
Verse 24
Translation
And faces that Day (will be) distorted
Verse 25
Translation
Thinking that will be done to them backbreaking
Verse 26
Translation
No When it reaches the collar bones
Verse 27
Translation
And it is said Who (will) cure
Verse 28
Translation
And he is certain that it (is) the parting
Verse 29
Translation
And is wound the leg about the leg
Verse 30
Translation
To your Lord that Day (will be) the driving
Verse 31
Translation
And not he accepted (the) truth and not he prayed
Verse 32
Translation
But he denied and turned away
Verse 33
Translation
Then he went to his family swaggering
Verse 34
Translation
Woe to you and woe
Verse 35
Translation
Then woe to you and woe
Verse 36
Translation
Does think man that he will be left neglected
Verse 37
Translation
Was not he a semen-drop of semen emitted
Verse 38
Translation
Then he was a clinging substance then He created and proportioned
Verse 39
Translation
Then made of him two kinds (the) male and the female
Verse 40
Translation
Is not [that] (He) Able [over] to give life (to) the dead
